We have seen Il Volo before at other venues and I must say they put on an excellent show when the roadies and theater staff do their jobs properly. It seemed to me that the setup was geared more to an AC/DC concert. Second, for the most part of the show, we were forced to watch it on the monitors because the robolights on the stage and on the gantries seemed to be aimed directly at us during most of the time that they were in use. This is unacceptable for this kind of a show where the vocal abilities of the performers are the primary reasons for attending. Also, to me, the volume was too loud for this type of performance. The orchestra drowned out the vocals during most of the songs. First, someone needs to do a sound check in all areas of the theatre. We sat in the mezzanine right center row C mostly because we booked late and there were very few seats left.I can't say who is at fault for the following issues, but this is something that needs to be addressed. 1 2020 my wife and I attended the Il Volo concert at the Grand Theatre at Foxwoods.
